Secretary of State John Kerry is defending the Obama administration’s decision to effectively allow the United Nations to condemn Israeli for attempting to build more settlements in the disputed West Bank, saying the “unprecedented” effort has spawned terrorism and violence that jeopardizes lasting peace in the region.
The United States on Friday abstained from a U.N. Security Council vote to adopt a resolution condemning the Israel’s settlement expansion, which allowed for the measure’s passage and disapproval from incoming Republican President Donald Trump.
“Things will be different after Jan. 20,” Trump tweeted minutes after the vote

The fox article title / headline makes no sense.
The resolution was not vetoed.
Israel abandoning the Gaza had two benefits.
First, it demonstrated to the world what a disaster a Palestinian state would look like - a platform for world wide state sponsored terrorism and anarchy This demonstration proceeded as expected, but who could have predicted that the world would actually be ok with that.
Second, it provided a very efficient way to allow the hate filled Palestinians to expend their assets in the most worthless and non productive fashion. The diversion of billions of dollars of aid money to the building a huge tunnel network invade Israel is a worthless waste that could be used on far more productive weapons and types of warfare.
Because Israel was such a problem when Islam started. Wow...the Left is bereft of historical knowledge.
