Well you have to have time with people to just talk in person, see their behavior, little idiosyncrasies you can’t pick up over face time etc. That time at dinner for instance is used to decide whether you’re with someone of quality or someone who is gonna kill if you get alone with them. So instead of investing tine getting to really know someone you’d rather go through a bunch of losers who ‘like’ your online pic or ask you for nudes on DM.
Nice.
Quality takes time and effort. DUH!
gee, these young folks are not socialized at all!!!!!!
they will mostly wind up living single lives and staying in their mommys’ basements
they aren’t even willing to share a meal with someone ???????
maybe we need to ask McD’s to close down the drivethru lanes or???????????????? they won’t even have dinner with anyone?
how sad......
what gives!?
If you read between the lines here, you can see that millenials only care about getting laid. The basis of relationships, intimacy, is completely dismissed as a waste of time.
It’s a safe bet that divorce rates will continue to climb. Hell, most millenials are eschewing marriage altogether since the legal and economic ramifications are too great. They’d rather cohabitate, share some bills, and if it doesn’t work out, they just go their separate ways.
Commitment is dead.
well, maybe we need to examine those “legal and economic” consequences ?
I don’t know ...
it is fine for some folks to live independently, but for so many young people ? I think there’s definitely something wrong....at any event i cannot understand it
and for many of them, they will get old and never enjoy the many benefits of family life ... and it can get very lonely too..do they realize this?
Good for them. Dinner dates suck. They’re a terrible way to get to know somebody, and just not fun. Only go to dinner with people you already know you like.
Why not a lunch date to break the ice?
Quality time does take effort. And I would advise the young people to first cultivate friendships with a number of opposite sex associates, and from that pool select someone to pursue an interest in mutual quality time.
But as another poster noted, millenials have a serious ADHD problem, and just don’t want to spend the time on dating. Or anything else but video games, for that matter.
Anyone who isn’t willing to spare an hour or two to enjoy a meal and some conversation with their date probably isn’t worth dating.
It’s not a game, it’s an opportunity to get to know a little something about a person.
If there’s no chemistry, no one wants to sit through a 3 or 4 course meal - just bail and keep swiping
The worst thing for many millennials is “awkwardness”.
Isn’t this why people develop social skills? To manage somewhat difficult social situations?
I like having dinner on a date. But I have learned never to suggest it for a first date in NYC.
Then go home a chow down.

There’s zero benefit to getting married if you’re a guy. It just hooks you to a huge amount of debt and gives the women all the power in the relationship. Divorce is a game rigged for women and without changing that incentive there’s no reason to get officially married.
Foreplay is I ask her to get me a beer.
Doesn't seem to be working.
