Can the people of Arizona impeach him out of office? If they had any brains at all, after this they would, and fast.

Wish we could impeach Arizona for keeping this kook in office so long.

The people of Arizona had a worthy primary candidate against him and still gave him a wide majority. She was great too! She’s running against Flake now in two years. Her name is Kelly Ward.

No, but they can call on his Senate colleagues to do so. I really hope that a movement builds to oust him.

Unfortunately, the Constitution does not provide for impeachment of senators and members of Congress. Also, only the members of the given national legislative body can remove a member for cause. In other words, senators can remove a senator, and members of the House can remove one of their members. So we are stuck with McCain until one of the following occurs: (a) he is finally defeated in an election, or (b) he decides to retire, or (c) he dies in office.

Politicians of McCain's ilk are walking, talking ads for congressional term limits. But it would take a Constitutional amendment, and Congress will never send such an amendment out to the states for ratification.

Unfortunately, there is no mechanism for the people of AZ to turn him out of office. Any discipline would have to come from the Senate as I remember. So unless he’s done something impeachable, or has committed a crime for which he has to stand trial, he’s staying until he’s up for re-election or he gets to meet his maker.
