A thing to remember: Federal employees have a ONE YEAR PROBATIONARY PERIOD. I may be wrong but I believe that federal employees can be fired without cause during that first year. If that is the case, it would be appropriate for the new administration to throw out the trash that the Obama regime is inserting into the bureaucracy now.
Totally agree. Dump every new hire that is still on probation, then go after those who've bored their way down into the bureaucracy over the years.
It is normally one year. I sat and watched a GS-14 hired, who had a serious medical condition and had medication which affected his judgement. For roughly two hours out of the today, he was competent...the remainder of the day...he was in lala land. Around the 10th month, his peers held a meeting and discussed the matter. They had a conversation with his boss, and with two weeks left in the probation period...they told him that he was finished. It’s rare that people get let go, and I can only remember three or four cases where I ever saw it done.
I do agree....you could just mark 5-percent of the positions as an overage and these new hires would be the first people dragged into HR and given walking papers.
Hell the trash has been inserted way before this time. Start at the first one ObucketOshit put in place and work backwards.
