And this is an opportunity for GM to act magnanimous. “We at GM have been proud to produce all our US-sold Cruzes in America, and have no plans to do otherwise.”
Except they *do* make one version of the Cruze on sale in the US down in Mexico. GM’s official statement, in part:
“GM builds the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the U.S.”
The hatchback offered for sale here is *Mexican*.
