Ted Cruz: Trump Is Filling His Cabinet With Conservative ‘All-Stars’ [AUDIO]
Daily Caller ^ | 1-5-17 | CHRISTIAN DATOC

Posted on 01/05/2017 11:47:50 AM PST by bigbob

Sen. Ted Cruz told Washington, DC radio host Larry O’Connor Wednesday that Donald Trump is filling his cabinet with “all-star” conservatives.

The Texas Republican noted that Republicans have been handed a “historic opportunity” to do a “great deal of good” in repealing “the disaster that is Obamacare.”

“It was one of the fundamental reasons why I ran for the Senate and promised the people of Texas that I would fight everyday to repeal Obamacare,” he continued. “I cannot tell you how gratifying it is to see us on the verge of delivering on that promise.”

Cruz then pointed to the president-elect’s cabinet nominations, “and I tell you that I have been really pleased and really impressed with President-elect Trump.”

“This is a serious cabinet, a cabinet of highly qualified individuals, and it is a cabinet of strong conservatives,” Cruz added. “The president-elect should be commended for bringing together a team of all-stars.”

“I think that bodes really well for the commitment to carry through on the promises we made.”

15 days from Trump’s swearing-in, and Ted’s finally on board.
Attaboy Ted! “True conservative” Ted. Keep trying, Ted.

I was really hard on Cruz and his supporters during the primaries for good reason. I very much dislike the guy. However, all of us right now have one target: Dismantling the progressive state Obama and co created. I’ll take him as a ally in this cause. Keep up the good work Senator Cruz.

And, I bet you REALLY hate him because he’s a Christian, too, don’t you? It shows. It really shows.

Cruz was raised to run for office in TEXAS and performs well in in the laboratory, particularly in conservative speak.

He is running again.

Trump has demonstrated his love of country, not love of self.

He's shown plenty of both. But that's okay. It helps him accept the onslaught.

I thought they were rough on Reagan, until Bork.
I thought they were tough on Bork, until Clarence Thomas.
I thought they were tough on Clarence Thomas, until Sarah Palin.
I thought they were tough on Sarah Palin, until Donald Trump.

I saw the minor league version of this in Wisconsin with Scott Walker, and know how it turns out. Good guys win. Bad guys make fools of themselves.

Cubanadians are not eligible to be President.

Neither are Kenyan/Indonesians.
Cruz's crime is being conservative. Had he been a leftist dhimmicrat the GOPe in congress would not have breathed a word about his birth.

I believe it was George P Bush not being a natural born citizen that influenced the GOP to go along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
His mother was still a Mexican national when he was born and the Bush faction wanted that impediment removed for him.

#8 When the Rats go on a Borking spree against Trump’s Nominees lets see how much Crap you eat because Cruz is leading the fight to get them thru while your “true” bluebloods like Hatch, McCain, Cornyn are taking shots at them thru press leaks.

Get over yourself. This is NOT about the fight last summer. It’s about the fight that is about to start with the RATS!

They may.

It won’t change my opinion of Tead. It will merely reveal how wrong he was not to recognize Trump for who he was a lot earlier.

And when Tead does work with Trump, it will be for one reason only. He will think it is advantageous for him to do so for personal reasons.

He had plenty of time to figure this out before the election. Now him seeming to see clearer is all about his future, and not the nation’s future.

When Hillary Clinton was on the verge of being elected president, Tead didn’t give a flying fig about the nation’s future.

I’m not going to give you grief over how you see him, or want to see him. I said this to another FReeper and it probably addresses your comments as best I can.

Perhaps you see his actions over the last 19 months as those of a Christian. So many lies, so little time.

Christians are always happy to stand by and watch a person like Hillary Clinton almost attain the Presidency of the United States, don’t you know... /s

I don’t care what Lyn’ Ted thinks or says. He should crawl back under his rock and not risk tainting Trump with his lies.

LOL

You folks really get testy when someone posts the truth about Tead.

When it came to campaigning to defeat Hillary Clinton, every day after the primaries were over were black out dates but two, and on those two days only, Ted said he would vote for Trump. He never said he endorsed Trump. He just said he’d vote for him. What a man!!! /s

You folks really need to come to terms with what Tead is.

Shame on the McCain and Graham scum for apparently having preemptively scuttled Kris Kobach for DHS, but mega-kuudos for Trump looking to him first!

Very reassuring. I hope they find a way to give him great influence within the department.

Where was George P Bush born? He was born in Texas. I don’t think a natural born citizen means BOTH parents need to be born here or even naturalized. But one does.

As much as I dislike McCain(though I ‘had’ to vote for in 2008), I believe he is a natural born citizen as a father was on duty in the US Navy in Panama.

I don’t necessarily think that Cruz is. Though his mother is. That’s a sticky one.

I don’t think 2 foreign nationals whose child is born here is a natural born citizen.

This all needs to be addressed by the Supreme Court once Trump ups them back to 9 justices. If for no other reason, then to make future elections clear.

Someone, of course would have to bring a suit to the court......not sure how that is done.

If Cruz’ 7+mil voters had stayed home instead of voting for DJT, he would have lost worse than Romney.
