Donald Trump's team has admitted this past week that their plans to overhaul Obamacare will not happen immediately. Kellyanne Conway even said it could take years. Thursday on CNN, Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY), who sits on Trump's transition team, echoed those remarks, noting that the Trump administration is not planning any significant changes for at least two years.

Collins emphasized Speaker Paul Ryans pledge that theyre not going to pull the rug out from under anyone who relies on Obamacare for health insurance.
"So we're talking about new plans in 2019 or later that will be more affordable, let patients pick their doctors," Collins explained.
Another word being thrown around by the Trump team is promise. Collins said theyve made a promise not to disadvantage any Americans. During his visit to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to rally support for repealing and replacing Obamacare, Vice-president elect Mike Pence said the Trump White will be in the promise keeping business.
After eight years of broken promises, Americans are a bit skeptical. Yet, Pence seemed ready to go full steam ahead, telling Congress he wants an Obamacare repeal bill on Trump's desk by February 20.
Who cares about health insurance? I'm more worried about healthcare.
Obama, and his criminal stooges, have thoroughly, and deliberately screwed up the American medical industry and its insurance companies. Fixing this disaster will take time since it must be REPLACED by a system that is designed for the people who need and use it and not for control by socialist overlords.
There has to be a transition period that is thought out carefully and with proper intent.
Remove the state lines that inhibits competition where people have a very large choice to buy health insurance. Get this in place first will take care of 95% of the problems.
Hows this one: If you like your obamacare you can keep it!
They are all on a new TrumpCare law- you have to pass it to find out what’s in it though.
DAMN! Ocare is Zero-care. It does NOT work.
Nine local doctors refuse to accept it, I am sure it is not too different across the country....
And it is destroying Millions of American jobs! (being so incredibly expensive for employers as well as workers, the employers are NOT hiring anymore much at all because, largely, of this added expense)
when they hire, it is for only 20 hours or so a week, part time gigs.......no benefits at all (to avoid the 29 hour Obamacare coverage mandate)...so the result is LOSE LOSE LOSE for everyone
Indeed, as long as U.S. health CARE costs continue their never-ending upward spiral, it really won’t matter how we rearrange the deck chairs.
He better end fining people for not buying something they can not afford.
If they like their doctor then they can keep their doctor? Where have we heard that before?
Repeal, period. No replacement. Do not compound one failed policy with another.
With ten Democrat Senate seats up for election in 2018, maybe Trump is planning a Republican super majority of +60?
I am sure he is, and we must make sure this happens
It’s an odd thing, the health care industry. Car prices go too high, people stop buying them and the prices go lower.
Any of us here would sell our houses to afford to pay for our loved ones’ survival.
That being said, what puts a cap on treatment and new medication costs?
Paul Ryno singing from the Democrat songbook.
Fine, but repeal the mandate immediately, to free the American people to make their own damn choice regarding whether to participate in Obamacare or not.
Yup. Furthermore to the transition, also Allow tax deductions for medical savings accounts and medical expenses.
Cancel Obamacare effective the end of this year. No replacement needed before the cancellation.
