Elsewhere, biologists previously cited admitted they didn’t actually have a good census for polar bears, but only provided numbers because they were demanded and they gave ‘something’. The census was incomplete, as it didn’t take into account seasonal migration or all of the several polar bear populations.
Likewise, in the great ‘polar bears are turning to canibalism because of climate change’ screeds...the cited author had years prior written of it as normal polar bear behavior.
Going back even further, the pictures of “stranded” polar bears floating on the remnants of icebergs failed to note that: polar bears can swim 50 miles; commonly climb on floating ice to rest or relax; or that the bears in question were within sight of land behind the photographer.
