Phil Murphy, the Democratic front-runner in the 2017 race to replace Gov. Chris Christie, picked up the endorsements of New Jersey's Democratic U.S. Senators on Monday and vowed to disobey orders from a President Donald Trump that would violate the constitution or are "un-American." Murphy appeared at his campaign headquarters in downtown Newark to tout the endorsements of U.S. Sens. Cory Booker and Robert Menendez. "I will not take orders from an Administration that are unconstitutional or un-American," Murphy vowed.

I wouldn’t rely on the courts. But what this guy says is unconstitutional and unamerican is exactly the opposite. As long as the takers, the illegals and refugees can vote him in he can win.
Must b something in the water for people to actually vote for these Azzholes.
Christie has not been a good thing for the NJ GOP. Democrats are likely to win in 2017 in NJ. Period. I live in NJ. Enthusiasm for the N.J. GOP is very weak.
The inference and take home message being he WOULD obey unconstitutional orders from an ideologically allied leader.
But he had no problem serving as an ambassador for a man who is not Constitutionally eligible to be President.
If Mr. Murphy becomes governor, then in addition to defying unconstitutional orders from Trump (ahem), patriots can recruit Murphy to help put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Then once Trump and his supporters put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, then the states will probably find a tsunami of new revenues that they dont know what to do with and Gov. Murphy will be a happy camper.
It’s very simple
No compliance?
No checks.
dude better get his ax handles polished up then ...
Hey dude, you had better check with NY first before you make any rash statements .... always check with your boss first.
The Democrats are going to regret, bigly, the amount of power they put in the hands of the federal executive.
Trump can force the states to do whatever the hell he wants them to do, the same way the Dems have been doing all this time - threaten to withhold federal money. Very few states could avoid collapse without federal dollars; the feds simply control too much of the economy at this point.
New Jersey is an easy one. Withhold federal highway dollars; watch potholes sink politicians in no time flat.
Mr. Murphy will harm NJ if he goes against President Trump. I don’t think the good folks of the Garden State want that.
Unfortunately there aren’t enough good folks left in this cesspool.
Wow, I can remember a time when lawbreaking politicians tried to keep it quiet, so as to stay out of jail.
...Trump has a big job ahead. And THANKFULLY it is Trump, and not Cruz, or any of the Republican dweebs.
Don’t these idiot politicians realize that when they make statements like this and hold high office they give Trump and his administration all the ammunition they need to focus special enforcement actions in those states. Libtards like to double down on stupid.
and the gop was not weak in nj before Christie?
remember sen case?
Trump will train him.
From what he has said and what he looks like, he needs some serious education, as in serious injuries.
Another reason to not ever even think about a move back to NJ.
This is why sedition laws exist.
DimRats claim to be offended by “un-American activities” (as determined by their ideological stance supportive of faggotry, Islamic jihad, and illegal immigration) all they while they colluded with the Soviets to weaken this country from within...
Is every Democrat named Murphy or Murray absolutely batshit crazy? Can’t find a sane one amongst them.
