The soon-to-be former President Obama will take his last flight on Air Force One after the soon-to-be President Donald Trump takes office, the White House confirmed.
Citing tradition, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed that President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama would be leaving Washington D.C. on Air Force one after Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The pair will leave the White House for the last time aboard Marine One before Air Force One takes them someplace warm, according to their plans.
Obama has referred to his post-inauguration plans for years.
“I know what I’ll do right after the next president is inaugurated: I’ll be on a beach somewhere drinking out of a coconut,” he said in 2014, during an interview with Tumblr.

The symbolism of the President leaving on Air Force One was never meant to show a cheap way to start a vacation - it's a symbolic representation of the peaceful transfer of power.
If Obama's planning on inserting himself in the new Presidency he'll show himself to be a quisling relative to our traditions and beliefs... He will further weaken the democrat party. This act by Obama will reflect poorly on the black community too.
The black community struggles with the perception they're lawless and lack respect for civil society. Obama does NOT need to reinforce that perception.
The call sign for this flight should be TOTT-1.

“someplace warm.” could mean hell - the only place they deserve.
This is a normal courtesy extended by the new president to the former president. However, as he is no longer president it will not be "Air Force One" That designation is for any aircraft the sitting president is on.
One last suck at the taxpayers’ teat.
But for him the bitch is that he’s going to have to pay his own way back! And unlike Trump, he doesn’t own his own plane!
However, it would not surprise me if he doesn’t try to glom on some celeb with a plane for the return trip home.

The plane on which the President is flying is designated air force one. The plane Barry leaves on will not be air force one. I do agree that he is bound for a warm place. A VERY warm place!
