I think that’s a key point.

On a spiritual level, I think suicide is probably a terrible mistake.
On behalf of loved ones, I think suicide is very often a tragic mistake.

But if someone wants to kill themself they will. It’s really not that hard.

But having the government involved is bad. Very bad. I oppose any law which allows the government to get involved in killing people who have “lived too long”. It’s a terrible slippery slope.

I say: keep suicide illegal, and be prepared for people to go ahead and do it themselves as they have always done.

In at least some cases, the only thing needed from Big Government is to get out of the way.

My mother had Alzheimer's. She could barely speak. She could not walk, feed herself, or control bodily functions. That is not living. That is waiting around to die & suffering in the meantime.

She would have opted for assisted suicide. I know because she told me decades before she died she did not want to be in such a situation, having seen it countless times before as a nurse.

My plans are made. My loved ones are well aware.
