I missed this one. John Stossel has stepped down from his job on Fox Business Show back on December 7th, 2016. I was so involved in the Electoral Recount, thanks to Jill Stein, I listened to little else.
Stossel has received 19 Emmy Awards for his televised reports. 19!!! John was diagnosed with lung cancer last April, even though he has never smoked. It looks like the doctors caught the disease early, and were able to put it in remission. Maybe he’s not fully recovered yet, and has had enough of the weekly TV grind. Stossel will continue to be seen on Fox as an occasional consultant.
Well, everyone has their Day In The Sun, so he’s probably grateful for such a fulfilling career. Most reporters never get a tenth of the opportunities that came his way.
