Trump is the least of his worries. He should be most afraid of the people who hired him. They probably want the public disclosure to end with his name being the only one linked to the episode.
Ex- civil servant. He has been a private consultant for some years now, using his contacts in Moscow and elsewhere from his MI-6 days to provide advice to clients wanting to understand and manage country risk.

The problem with this stuff is that good propaganda is mostly credible. The pee on the bed part is so incredible given Trump’s almost Howard Hughes like obsession with cleanliness - a fact that is publicly known [Hughes was dysfunctional, Trump not].

Trump need do nothing. It is in the interests of the UK to take care of cleaning up this mess because Trump wants good relations with the UK.
No one need say a word. The problems go very deep. The guy has undermined the cooperative defense agreements with the US that are an essential part of UK national security.
Trump needn't say a word. The UK has plenty of motive to clean this up on their own.

If this firm was used by Planned Parenthood, it makes me think about HRC. It seems logical that she would use the same firm they used and that, given this was known during the summer, that she would keep bringing up Trump connections with Russia in debates, at times it seemed almost out of the blue. Was she hoping to get enough stirred up to dump this out, then maybe was convinced by the polls that she would win anyway, so why risk possible backfire? Then when she lost, she may have reached back for this to put it out through her buddy McCain? This would explain the “Russians manipulated the election” meme that was pushed out there. Perhaps far-fetched, but the Planned Parenthood angle made me wonder.
If a politician is doing something illegal (child abuse, child rape etc) then our intelligence people should be required BY LAW to turn that information over to the FBI for investigation and prosecution.
If this frat boy crap is the backbone of our ‘intelligence’ services it goes a long way toward explaining why our country AND our world is in such a horrible shape...AND why politicians of every stripe keep 'warning' Trump to be careful or the CIA will damage him with leaks.
New laws must be passed to reign in thuggery... no matter where that thuggery is coming from.
