Not just for McCain. One version out there has a “western diplomat” giving McCain the info while the two were in Nova Scotia. If true, who was that person? Was that person there on his/her govt’s business? If so, what did that gov’t know and when did it know it? Also, did the sharing/handover take place at that security conference in Halifax? The same one that Tim Kaine also attended? If so, was Kaine’s presence there a coincidence, or was Kaine involved?
Where did you hear that? The Guardian is saying McCain sent someone to Europe to pick up the “report”. IN DECEMBER. AFTER the election. Then gave it to the OBAMA FBI. Can you imagine a Democrat Senator doing that to a Democrat President-elect? No chance. McCain needs to hang for this.

I’d also be very careful taking that timeline for gospel. The Halifax conference was in November. If something did indeed go on there, then the timeline reportage is inaccurate or a lie.
If McNasty “sent” someone, that means there is a staffer and and, probably, aide to the staffer who can be flipped into outing their supervisor. ....just fan fantasy
