Jiggyboy, you and tax-chick are making the more profound point: contraceptives aren’t even healthcare.
“Health” means a state of wholeness. The proper exercise of the healing art is to restore a person to normalcy and wholeness by curing diseases, healing injuries, repairing damaged organs or systems, increasing the “ableness” of the disabled.
Contraception does nothing but impair or destroy healthy function.
It is anti-health and anti-care.

When these provisions were original imposed, I made the point that DoodleDawg brought up: Why should birth-prevention drugs, devices, and surgeries be prioritized (no deductible or copayment) over surgeries, devices, and drugs for those with injuries or illnesses?
"Free" sterilization, but pay for a hip replacement? "Free" birth control pills, but pay for antibiotics? "Free" IUD's, but pay for a pacemaker? This is a profound clash of philosophies, but most discussion just ignores it.
