Here’s the scenario: Ukraine is added to NATO at the last moment. This force of US troops are rushed in just in time to get killed by the Russian invasion that the Ukraine joining NATO will trigger. Lots of dead Americans and we will go to war with Russia for real. Neo-cons win while everyone else loses.
