I put this timeline together overnight to assist researchers and to highlight a few connections that seem relevant. I included a number of themes I thought were relevant to the overall picture. In an effort to get this posted today, I have not yet integrated a few items that should probably be included, such as developments in Syria affecting US-Russian relations, for example. I am sure people will think of some other things I missed, so please chime in if you notice something.

The only thing missing is the actual 4chan/Rick Wilson element. The original “fan fiction” was passed to Rick Wilson well before the election, either in late 2015 or early 2016 IIRC. Your first mention of it is in Oct 2016, when you mention that bloggers recognize pieces of the 4chan FanFic in Mother Jones’ description of the Russian dossier. That mention kind of comes out of nowhere, leaving folks wondering what that was all about.

This line caught my attention:

That's pretty early in the cycle for a mention of the Russians as the source of Clinton email hacking. And the Judge is (IMHO) a pretty reliable source. Hoping for more on what he was talking about. Could be my cloudy memory of events. Could be new news.

The ORIGINAL REPORT (about Russian influence) was prepared by the FBI/CIA in late 2011/early 2012.

The new 35 page report was plagiarized from that report and the name of the PRINCIPAL involved was changed to TRUMP.

THIS is what the original report was about:

"June 2011: FBI arrests members of a Russian spy ring which has targeted a leading fundraiser for and friend of Hillary Clinton; Bill Clinton receives $500,000 for speaking in Moscow to an event for Renaissance Capital (RenCap), a firm registered in Cyprus with former Russian intelligence officers on staff; Clinton also meets with Putin"

Thank you for your well-researched piece. I posted on this yesterday, asking if any one could connect the Steele/4Chan/Wilson/McCain dots. Yours is the best explanation I have seen. Still a few loose ends to tie up with the credibility and timing of the 4Chan element.
Our “media” has such a short attention span. While they clamor about Trump ties to Russia, they conveniently overlook Uranium One.
