I live in KY. Jobs can be hit or miss. Most of eastern KY is God’s country, but there are pretty sobering levels of poverty and unemployment there. South central KY is the best region, IMO. Land is good for farming, and close enough to the larger towns and cities.
Louisville and Lexington are liberal bastions. Northern KY suburbs of Cincinnati are very red, and offer a good job market.
If you ever move to the Louisville area, do not move into Jefferson County (Louisville Metro). The liberal idiot mayor has allowed gang violence to go unabated. The public school there, JCPS, is a nightmare as well
Kentucky is one of the most beautiful states I’ve ever driven through.
It was sobering though to read all of the posters at every rest stop looking for tips on meth labs and heroin. They’re the new moonshine apparently.
Bowling Green seemed like a pleasant town.
