Then why didn’t Saddam use them to defend himself? He’d rather die than use the phantom WMDs?

Because they didn’t exist. Or if they did, they were no threat - if Saddam wasn’t even prepared to use them to try to save his own life.

Bottom line: Trump is right. The Iraq war was a colossal blunder.
