I've just had an epiphany.

My epiphany is the sudden realization that President Donald J. Trump's 1st inaugural speech, content-wise, is going to be one of the most mind-blowing inaugural speeches ever delivered in U.S. history.

In a single act which will forcefully demostrate his new power—the use of the bully pulpit—the President will sweep away the remnants of the repudiated Establishment and Media (but I repeat myself). These Leftist PC totalitarians will finally begin to absorb the magnitude of their defeat.

As the waning power of the Left's sinister lies and hate is gradually dispelled by President Trump, and by both his deeds and character, he will be embraced by the American People. And when that realization sinks in, their will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I FReeper and author LS at his word that, in his opinion (and paraphrasing), the "swamp dwellers" have no idea what's about to hit them.

I agree, and I firmly hope and believe that President Trump's inaugural speech will usher in an era wherein Left wings heads will be exploding constantly.

Make no mitake: it's going to get ugly. But the Democrat and their deluded, hateful ilk will lose. They have to. The traditionally reliable demographics that have been brainwashed into dutifully toiling under the repressive yoke of totalitarian PC "Progressivism" will cast off their chains in a cathartic reawakening of Liberty. Massive numbers of Americans will experience a new Enlightenment.

Personally, what I hope happens is an ideal expression of classical liberalism (small "l" libertarianism) with principles of minimal government, maximum respect for the Rights of the Individual, a strong Judaeo-Christian ethos, and an educational system oriented around preserving those ideals.

With many of the People President Trump is surrounding himself with, I really like most of what I'm seeing. Hopefully these people can help round out any deficits President Trump might have regarding Constitutional knowledge, instincts, and policies.

President Trump needs to stay true to the principles and policies which the People elected him to advance.

Donald J. Trump is being tried by far, and has been for a long time. If President Trump shows the patriotism, character, and executive and communication skills that I think he possesses, then he'll have every chance of being one of our greatest Presidents, despite the professional elitist hate.

If, however, Donald J. Trump isn't a man of character, and if he conforms to the caricature created by his many detractors, then he will fail miserably, I fear.

But, IMHO, he's got what it takes to get this job done. I'll have to see concrete evidence to decide otherwise.

The great thing about it is that President Trump will basically have to be honest with the American People, because if he isn't—if he somehow abandons his infamous bluntness and straight-shooting—then he won't be authentic and he won't be able to get the People behind him.

I sure hope that he doesn't have any more skeletons in his closet. I suspect there might still be a few for the Enemy to exploit.

But that's actually another wild thing about this situation: does Enemy really want to risk having a President Pence in office, someone without any skeletons and who would likely be very re-electable in 4 years?

Haw, haaw! They're damned if they do, and damned if they don't! I wouldn't give the Democrats' troubles to a monkey on a rock...

Never inject negative conditionals to an otherwise positive argument.

I had thought it might be neat for Trump to deliver a very, very short speech, and even toy with (as Washington and others did) not even delivering the SOTU in person.
