Once Govco controls the size of the check that every household automatically gets every month, they control every household. That’s not good. At first that will seem great, but eventually Govco will leverage that against you.

What if the prebate was added to the FairTax to make it more progressive as a marketing tool, and that it could be eliminated?
If the prebate were eliminated, the rate would go down 4 or 5%.
