I have no doubts that they will get very indignant when demands for their construction products fall off.To the point they will militarily make threats.
From portland cement, rebar, auto parts to heavy equipment.
You mentioned car parts which is a real pet peeve of mine. From my experience the Chinese engineer their parts to fail at he end of the warranty period. The concept of quality is so alien to them that is what they do. For example say you buy a set of break rotors made in China with a one year/12K warranty. Like clock work after about 15K the break rotors start to warp as if on queue. If you had spent just a little more and bought US made OEM part you'd get rotor that would last 50K even thought the warranty is the same at 1yr/12K.
