You missed the point. If you want to put MAJOR BARF ALERT on every article YOU POST, then you should do so.
I don't think you have any kind of 'right' here on FR to demand that everyone else do what YOU WANT.
Most of us can tell whether an article is the truth or a lie. We don't need someone else to tell us what to think.
Some people add BARF ALERT to titles, some don't.
There are POSITIVE articles on FR, just as there are NEGATIVE articles.
Many Freepers put a lot of effort into debunking the lies in articles. It's called SEPARATING THE WHEAT FROM THE CHAFF.
You are just as capable. Do you really need someone to 'think' for you ? If you suspect an article is BS, then just DON'T CLICK on it.
Bottom Line: I have no problem with you 'setting the example', but I do have a problem with you telling other Freepers what to do.
Even if YOU think it's for OUR own good. Jim owns the website, let him decide WHAT is allowed and WHAT is not.
>>>I don’t think you have any kind of ‘right’ here on FR to demand that everyone else do what YOU WANT.<<<
I am demanding nothing . . . I am suggesting that we continue to do what folks have been doing for as long as I remember.
I’m also suggesting that you not make Jim and his moderators work any harder than they have to to make FreeRepublic the premier site for God, morality and conservatism.
>>>Most of us can tell whether an article is the truth or a lie. We don’t need someone else to tell us what to think.<<<
And what of visitors to the site who see the following:
“You know, Trump also just made the Keystone XL way more expensive (and illegal) to build”
and that is the ‘first impression’ he/she gets.
They might just decide that they don’t need to waste time on a site that hates the President which would allow these kinds of posts.
Unless they click and read they will not readily discern your intention.
Argue all you want, but that is the down and dirty of it.
