I don’t remember the details, but starting about 7 years ago there was a purge of available talk radio options across NC.
In the Triad area, stations like WSJS and FM 101.1 dumped popular hosts for lukewarm spittle known as sports talk. 101.1 then went under.
Levin, gone
Jason Lewis, gone (but then also left radio)
Savage, gone
WPTI srill offers Beck, Limbaugh, and Hannity, but doesn’t have any firebrands.
I upgraded to unlimited data and now stream Savage, Howie Carr, and others through the phone.
In our market when Hewitt moved to early mornings we gained Larry Elder in the PM drive-time slot.
We could use a lot more like this guy - a very smart conservative, with the perfect ratio of bite-to-bark.
What carrier actually has unlimited data? I had the original unlimited data with AT&T but it certainly wasn't unlimited usable data. You never got a bill for going over because you actually couldn't go over when they throttled you down to txt message speed.
