*****President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he wants to repeal and replace the law at effectively the same time. To make that happen, lawmakers are accelerating the development of the replacement plan and slowing down the laws repeal.*****
Makes perfect sense to those of us who have a working relationship with complex planning.

Good point. Buuuuttt, the GOP had control of the government in the early 2000s and did not address health care expense complaints, paving the way for The Affordable Health Care Act when the Dems controlled both houses and then secured the Oval Office.
The GOP should have been working on solutions to the complaints of healthcare expense; replacement/alternatives to Obamacare once again before the ball came back into their court. Now it’s crunch time, and it doesn’t help that so many Republicans in Congress are not committed to The Constitution.
Personally, the health care system that was intact before Obamacare was not so bad IMHO. What needs to be done is to teach the American public that there is no constitutional right to the best healthcare in the world and that access to such is on a sliding scale of what is affordable to the patient.
We already had safety nets for po folk in place so they could receive medical attention when needed and even that was horribly abused by the public.
The right to quality health care is similar to the right to murder your unborn children; neither are addressed in The Constitution.
