What I find most intriguing however is the access Steve is said to have to the "dark web" which is said to contain some pretty wild stuff about shadow governments, underground political movements, terrorist networks and such. There were alt.binaries usenet groups that go back to the late 1980s. I suspect that the dark web has its roots there.
