The very notion that the USA and Mexico are anywhere near on an equal level is ludicrous.
No they don’t!
“At least 1/4 of their GDP is in illegal remittances back to Mexico in some manner.”
How bout a 300% surcharge on phone calls/skype to Mexico?
That way only hits “them”,, not the shopper at the grocery store ??
Here’s a question that maybe someone can answer. We have a wonderfully fertile country. Are there not vast areas of land in America (other than California) where we can grow produce that we get from Mexico???
In addition, the running street gun battles that are so prevalent in Acapulco are being reported from Cancun down throughout the Mayan Riviera - A young USA Citizen tourist was killed in a big street/night club shoot up in Playa Del Carmen just a couple of weeks ago.
The actual cash they send out of this country’s economy is ridiculous in its extreme. It is the extra untaxed cash they made while making the American taxpayer pay for their necessities.
The balance is clear; they are frigging leeches with a negative value-added.
Josh and Dave!!!......when u wake up in your little micro, 300 square foot apt around 3 pm today get out side in the sunshine and get some air, go to the park, throw your frisbee, chase your Labradoodle! Then try again! This article is laughable and beneath comment!
the wall will force illegals to stay home and fix their own country!
Our founding fathers didn’t run away when things got tough.
did Trump say he’d stop the illegals from dumping their kids in our schools?
If America sends a new car to Mexico, Mexico charges a 20% tariff and a 16% VAT tax.
If you back off and look at it carefully ...Mexico is the Macro and Democratic inner cities are the Micro..
I am near the Mexican border on a year long vacation. I will NOT drive into Mexico but the locals here talk about cheap dental care etc. with one dentist having an office on each side of the border (meaning it's probably qualified). Just walk across the border for a day is the suggestion, checkpoint is supposed to be easy.
I think I'll stay on the US side with the coming war coming between Mexico and the US. GO TRUMP!
Since there will be no illegals, after the wall, then it wouldn’t/shouldn’t even be an issue.
Mexico has nothing. Over 20% of their citizens are in the US illegally.
“Are there not vast areas of land in America (other than California) where we can grow produce that we get from Mexico???”
I can’t say, but as long as water is there, farming can be there.
California can grow enough food to feed the whole flippin’ country, so the sooner they secede, fail, and are annexed by the US, replacing the pathetic, failed progressive government the better.
The Mexicans really don’t. This is laughable. And if true, consider this: the media now admits *OBAMA* allowed America’s position to weaken...
It’s the same old same old. Enforce the law.
I imagine a three prong approach. In no particular order.
1)Taking on Sactuary cities. Especially the larger ones like LA/NY/Philly
(targeting people who hire illegals with fines and possible jail time. Likewise, knowingly harboring illegals)
And individually,
2)Criminals and people without any Documentation are high priority.
3) Self Deportation
Other than that begin filling those jobs with American citizens.
80% of Mexico’s trade is with the US (versus 13% in the other direction)...they better hope to hell we don’t get upset.
Oh yeah, i think anyone who does not self deport should not be allowed obtain even a work VISA for 3-5 years once the wall is complete.
Not to mention they will go to the end of them line if they want citizenship.
