TRUMP'S ORDERS THUS FAR HAVE ADDRESSED 6 OF OUR TOP 10 LIST OF ENFORCEMENT GOALS

As the Trump Administration rolled out the new orders on immigration enforcement yesterday, we at NumbersUSA noticed a lot of very familiar ideas.

They were on our list of the 10 most important actions needed to reduce the current and future illegal population of the country. We assembled the list last summer. We looked over the dozens of actions that would be helpful and chose 10. We then arranged them in order of which ones would have the most impact on the reduction.

Look below for the full list of "10 Steps to Fix Our Broken Immigration-Enforcement System".

Unfortunately, the three most important actions have not been addressed yet. Two of those will require action by Congress.

1) Make E-Verify mandatory for all U.S. employers to eliminate the jobs magnet. (Not addressed yet -- requires Congress.)

2) Complete the Congressionally-mandated biometric entry/exit system to track non-immigrant visitors to the U.S. (Expecting this to be addressed in new order soon.)

3) End the practice of birthright citizenship for illegal aliens and foreign visitors. (Not addressed yet -- will require Congressional action and probably a favorable court ruling.)

4) Require state and local law enforcement to report affirmatively all non-citizens in custody to ICE, make ICE detainers mandatory, and require ICE to pick up and remove deportable aliens. (ORDERED)

5) Expand expedited removal to include all illegal aliens with criminal convictions. (ORDERED)

6) End catch-and-release of illegal aliens by requiring that they be detained until removal. (ORDERED)

7) Deny immigrant and nonimmigrant visas to nations that refuse to repatriate their citizens. (ORDERED)

8) Reform the judicial process in immigration courts, including restricting relief from removal, to expedite the process and reduce the backlog of cases. (Not addressed yet.)

9) Restrict asylum to the internationally recognized definition of those who are unable to be returned to the home country due to a well-founded fear of (state) persecution due to race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion. (Partly ORDERED)

10) Allow Border Patrol access to all federal lands. (ORDERED)

When I first emailed this list to our online members, I noted that we were deliberately titling our list with a phrase very common to one used by immigration expansionists.

When you hear politicians talking about "fixing our broken immigration system," you can be pretty sure that what they really want is to dismantle enforcement and make it easier for employers to access cheap, foreign labor.

But for those who truly care about the harm that illegal immigration poses to American workers' incomes, to national security and to public safety, it's the immigration ENFORCEMENT system that needs fixing.

There are a lot of ideas out there about what is needed to fix that system. We believe these 10 actions would do more than any other to limit new illegal migration and to reduce the size of the current illegal population at the lowest cost to taxpayers and least disruption.

We prepared this draft list from the collaboration with our staff lawyers and other Capitol Hill specialists who have deep experience with law enforcement and immigration legislation.

We will certainly keep you informed of developments related to this list. We will also continue to provide our members with ways to encourage the rapid implementation of everything on this list.

The orders for the Border Patrol and ICE to each hire thousands of new agents, plus the orders for both agencies to at long last DO their jobs, will go far, IMHO, to begin turning things around.

#2 makes great sense to me. While it may be true that their home countries have few if any reliable records which makes it difficult to vet those coming here, we have technology that can quickly and painlessly make a completely unique ID of each person so the odds of anyone every coming here a 2nd time without us being able to positively ID them are zero.

6/10 after one week is most excellent. I look forward to more improvements over the next 4, 8, and 16 years. Prayers are being answered.

Still waiting for him to end Obama’s illegal DACA program.
Every day delay another 150 illegal aliens are given work permits, on top of the 750,000 already processed.
At some point Obama’s illegal DACA program becomes Trump’s illegal DACA program if he doesn’t stop it.

Most of it is already law that Obama (and our feckless “representatives”) have been ignoring. Trump’s EOs are merely nullifying the illegal EOs of Obama. Let’s face it, a year or so ago, the idiots in Congress passed a Bill saying we should follow the law as far as sanctuary cities go - no wonder Trump calls them all talk and no action....

It looks like the food service and agricultural industries must be “encouraged” to man-up and clean-up their employment practices.

TRUMP'S ORDERS THUS FAR HAVE ADDRESSED 6 OF OUR TOP 10 LIST OF ENFORCEMENT GOALS

It It blows my mind that after 18 years of constant virtually daily visits to Free republic, I have missed the existence of this site, Numbers, USA.

It almost tracks exactly my personal list, with only one minor topic that I might have missed while reading that website:

Any tourist or student or any other temporary visitor to our country, who overstays their visit with the aim of eventually claiming permanent residency due to inexcusable oversight in making the law, must BE IMMEDIATELY DEPORTED AND permanently forfeit any future attempt to enter the United States of America FOR ANY REASON.

NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER!!!

I don't claim to know the rules for every advanced country on earth in these matters, but I have read enough of the Mexican immigration rules to know that the claimed "honor and respect" of the sovereignty of Mexico and the honor of its people is, which is denied to the United states of American can be nothing less than a declaration of war.

Goes without saying that the new rules concerning any children born in the U.S. to a mother clearly a foreign national temporary visitor is deemed to have the nationality of the mother, no argument or exceptions.

There.
Fixed it.

That, of course suggests that DNA samples of every applicant is a mandatory item for admission as a temporary or permanent resident or tourist or visitor.*
In addition, of course to all the personal data currently required.

The inclusion of fraud in any application, as discussed elsewhere, would also trigger permanent forfeiture of any entry into the U.S.A. NO EXCEPTIONS, no Obama-style EOs or even Congressional actions.

The definition of "citizenship" being defined the States as documented in the original Constitution must be also affirmed, and subject only to a Constitutional Amendment.

*A new DNA profile test, which is virtually instantaneous, has been discussed in a recent Freeper thread.

Instant DNA profile?

That, together with photo and fingerprint for every visitor, should be in a single database and backed up in a remote supersafe location impervious to hacking.
