Congress hanging The Donald out to dry. Making him do everything alone! Despicable. No tax cuts, no Obamacare repeal. NOTHING
Republicans kept repealing Obamacare while O was in office [knowing would go nowhere]. Now... NOTHING!
My question is, is this part of a GOP plan to get rid of Trump?
As many others have pointed out, he’s no Republican. His nomination was a hostile takeover, but the stockholders (Members and Senators) were not replaced.
They have not agreed to the buyout.
I said the uniparty on both sides needs to go. Our leadership is all uniparty. It has to be gutted out like rotted wood.
From this day forward I will refer to Obamacare as Ryancare and / or McConnelcare. They refuse to do anything about it while they hold all the power. They lied to us for years about wanting to do away with it. They have now taken ownership of it and so it should be made clear.
I’ve long suspected this was going to be the tactic against him. Frustrate him at every turn. Use the political process to tie him up in knots and thwart the will of the people.
We have to pound the GOP and let them know that we know what they’re up to, and if they persist, we will exact our revenge from them in 2018.
Yep. Congress is glacial in the best of circumstances and, being politicians, have never been in the position of having someone moving at the speed of normal citizens but having to genuflect to that person. They are trying to figure out how to actually work and earn their pay.
You're 100% right.
thx for the explanation..
really wondered how that worked
He should just tell McConnell that wifey's nomination gets sent to the Senate after Sessions and the SC pick are confirmed.
I hear you, we just keep preaching to the choir...nothing gets done...
I have, this morning, called Hatch, Lee, Love, and Chaffetz and have written also an email with my opinons about several matters and will do so every morning...
Ryan has been talking within the first 200 days, not the first 2000.
Define "revenge".
If by that you mean Primary the bastards, great! But good luck. It's extremely difficult to unseat an incumbent (not saying it's impossible).
If he/she doesn't get primaried, then what are you going to do? Personally, I have no qualms voting against the Vichy Republican SOBs - but you'll get the usual screaming bleats from the Stockholm Syndrome GOP sycophants if you try advocating that route. Get rid of one or two or three of them and the tightened sphincters of the remnant will cause a sea change in their attitudes.
He’s not doing everything alone. There are millions behind him (many of them praying). The media has yet to get the memo. Time will show his worth.
You are too kind to them. They are not simply inept, they are completely bought off and often closet liberals anyway.
Ooh, best suggestion I’ve seen since the MFJ!
And it is why we elected Trump despite what the vast majority of "republicans" in congress had to say about him...
There are not many Republicans in Congress. Most belong to the DC UniParty.
People are afraid to go into the Republican primaries and vote against the useless incumbents. They can vote only for familiar names that they can recognize.
You (plural) had your say in 2014, and you failed!
It seems like it is a little early to be talking about congress not acting. Trump’s been in office less than 10 days. Not sure Trump has even sent any legislature to congress to be acted on.
Nossir. A good portion of the GOP is in active collusion with Democrats.
