It is a multi-year job to “move” that Embassy. That is a big, big, big job. Security concerns - wild. Many, many, many other delicate and hugely expensive factors. I can’t believe Trump can do it but maybe... Trump can do it.
According to John Bolton we can do it in 5 minutes. All that is required is moving a single small sign denoting the presence of the US embassy. Changes a branch office to the main office. All the other folderol can follow for as long as it takes.

That’s a good point. We have a consulate in Jerusalem that could become the Embassy overnight.
