Telegraphing the play is not a good strategy.
First thing they should do is stop collecting union dues.
If I’m not mistaken, the law allows it, but can’t actually require it.
So would be an easy exec order to stop.
Trumps team also needs to rescind this Obama executive order 13522, which gave Federal employee unions effective control of their government agencies with “pre decisional” consultation (currently interpreted as hey unions, you get to run the show!) .

I have been dreaming of this day, especially in the industry I’m involved with. Once the unions money flow is cut off, good bye Dummycrat party.
The federal workforce has been granted numerous equivalents of “titles of nobility” as this beloved aristocracy has numerous privileges not available to the bulk of the peasantry.
Using five year old numbers total unionized federal workforce is slightly over one million, lets call it 1.2M. The total federal workforce is roughly 4.95M. That’s 1.2/4.95 = .2424 or 24.24%. So since these are 5 year old numbers lets call it 25%.
So roughly 1/4 federal workers are union. Not as much as I thought but still government workers should not be in a union. Even FDR thought it crazy!

Certain agencies are prohibited from having a union, like DOJ or the FBI. However, others like the FDIC and the treasury (which includes the IRS) have significant union membership and are virtually under their control. That 25% is much worse when you factor out the employees at the prohibited agencies.
Then that number probably climbs 40-45%.
Exactly, but what’s even worse is that it’s not spread evenly among the remaining agencies, leaving many with much higher concentrations and effectively making them union “captured” agencies.
You have to wonder about some of the folks supposedly on our side.
Trump brought two people back to Washington to confound the media. What happened? Our side blabed who the pick was hours before the announcement.
Our people have no concept of timing, secretive tactics, and playing the game to win.
I’m not sure who blabbed here, but I do wish Republicans could play on the same page for a change.

I’d go further, bring back the spoils system and fire them, hire decent Americans instead.
The whole idea of government employees unionizing against the very people they are supposed to serve is immoral. President Trump is doing things that I never believed any President would have the guts to do ever again. As much as I dread his tweets and speeches, his actions are absolutely brilliant. Every day is like Christmas. And the way he is playing the press is superior to even Reagan. I think Reagan still respected the press. Trump does not in the least. And he shouldn’t.
