Washington is talking about the action taken by the Trump Team informing all inspector generals of federal agencies that their jobs would be on a temporary basis. In a Jan. 13 email, a transition official instructed the transition agency leads to tell the inspectors general in their agencies “that they are being held over on a temporary basis,” according to the Washington Post. Inspectors general are independent watchdogs who are typically in place for an indefinite period, regardless of the party in charge. So why would the Trump team want to let these “government watchdogs” go? Do they really do their jobs? The government watchdogs were appointed by Obama, so why would Trump trust them to work for him?
I think I can prove why Trump needs to go ahead with his plan to let the present watchdogs go, and hire his own appointees. Although, Jason Chaffetz felt like it was not the right thing to do, I do not agree with him. I will make my case, but first lets finish talking about the incident that has so many upset in Congress.
Democrats from the House Oversight Committee sent a letter to Washington asking for an explanation, but Jason Chaffetz of the House Oversight Committee said he felt it was a mistake.
The Trump Team retracted the email, and it appears the inspector generals will stay on. I feel this is a mistake that Trump was pressured to retract the emails. If Government Watchdogs are to do their jobs, they must be impartial, and from what I am seeing in the investigation by the Inspector General of the DOJ into the FBI investigation into Clinton’s email scandal, things are very suspicious.

Let ‘congress’ get upset. The IGs certainly weren’t doing their jobs.
When the IG couldn’t find any crime committed in the persecution of conservative and Christian groups by the IRS, it’s not difficult to spot the bias. Lois Lerner should be in prison.
Should be let go.

Trump could be considering the timing of it all. Get his cabinet officers all confirmed, get his Supreme Court pick confirmed, THEN give the Dems something new to scream about.
Keep it up for 4 years, always giving the Dems multiple things to be outraged about, and never able to focus on any one thing.
One of Obamas first actions was to fire an IG who was looking into one of Barrys B-ball buddies shenanigans with a non-profit.
A good man gone, the scam went on.

Every agency in government has been politicized under Obama, and the IGs were a key piece.
If the IGs are political appointees, then they should be replaced.

I think the title should be changed to Democrats in Congress upset. They do not want a review of the Obama administration years that complies with US laws.
He needs to create the Office of Government Stings and let O’Keefe staff it.
He needs to bring independent auditors in for operational and financial audits.
Inspectors general
They must be vetted and replaced if they are shown to be politicized.
