Just about every male between 14 and 60 was conscripted into the army, SS, or Volkssturm by 45’ and after that they had no fight in them.
And the Nazi’s were too short on weapons to make much of a cache.

Founded by Heinrich Himmler in 1944 when it became clear Germany would be invaded, the Werewolf guerrilla movement was given the task of slowing down the Allied advance to allow time for the success of negotiations or “wonder weapons”.
