Hannity is on one of his ‘Democrats are the party of the KKK, Republicans passed Civil Rights, Robert Byrd was a Klansman’ rolls.

This is a stupid line of reasoning that he apparently thinks is brilliant. The modern hard left Democrats have nothing in common with those older Democrats other than the name.

And prominent Republican conservatives of the time, Goldwater and Reagan being two, opposed the civil rights bill because they believed it was a dangerous grant of government control over individual freedom. If you wonder how a court can wreck a small private business over their refusal to participate in a homosexual wedding, look no further than the 1964 civil rights act that gave them this power.
