A new TV ad featuring a disabled military veteran blasts President Donald Trump for seeking to repeal Obamacare and for imposing a travel ban that primarily affects Muslims. "You want to be a legitimate president, sir? Then act like one," says the veteran, who according to the ad's sponsor is a Marine who lost a leg while on patrol in Afghanistan. The ad aired for the first time Monday on MSNBC's show "Morning Joe" — which Trump is known to avidly watch — and was produced by the progressive veterans group VoteVets.

It lasts just 30 seconds. But in that half minute, the ad lands a series of punches at sore spots of Trump's ego, all delivered by a weightlifting unidentified veteran.

One of their first ads years ago featured perfumed prince Gen. Wesley Clarke.

the group though claiming to be a veteran group despite the rather low percentage of veteran members- shows it true colors by putting most of its efforts into backing “clean energy” and “climate change” legislation.

Even “funnier,” in 2010 the group framed their argument for clean energy and environmentalism as a means to deprive Iran of money to use in making IEDs to use against US troops.
Yet when Obama released millions of dollars to the Iranian islamofascist regime, the group unttered not a peep of outrage or even discomfort. They made no ads condemning the financing of a terrorist state whose explosive devices were used so effectively against our troops.

After that they produced an ad about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill featuring a national guardsman...

Near as I can tell the group is an environmental activist group masquerading as a veterans’ group, probably in the hope “enlarging the tent of possible donors” by soliciting donations from national-security-minded conservatives to finance core liberal causes.

The group's early chairman was a Kosovo and Iraqi Freedom veteran, Jon Soltz. Soltz was a Kerry campaign volunteer in 2004 and opposed the surge. Surprise surprise. He's also involved in "Global Zero" the nuclear disarmament group founded in Paris [surprise surprise] that sprang from the meeting between Obama and Medvedev where Obama was caught on mike telling the Russians he could be "more flexible" after the election.

Vice chairman was Minnesota Democrat and attorney Jigar Ashwin Madia, said to be an Iraq war veteran...actually a noncombat JAG serving to set up Iraq's legal system. Played as a RINO Republican until 2002 when he switched. Is very much into LGBT advocacy. Surprise surprise.

Another VoteVets boardmember is NYT columnist Leslie Gelb, responsible for concocting the infamous “Pentagon Papers” used to betray South Vietnam.

“The group’s early chairman was a Kosovo and Iraqi Freedom veteran, Jon Soltz. Soltz was a Kerry campaign volunteer in 2004 and opposed the surge.”—No wonder I thought of the VVAW right away. . .

Gelb, of course, was another Kerry campaign advisor.

Gelb is a major figure in foreign policy circles who has been associated with the CFR since the Vietnam War, and whose history includes helping IPS leak the Pentagon Papers to the NYT.
