the original idea from the sculptur was to have a woman statue at the opening of the suez canel or some area over there, and he thought a muslim woman would be ideal for that area...but when that fell thru, the opportunity for Lady Liberty came about, and here we are...it was nvr intended to have Lady Liberty be any sort muslim, here in the states...
Still think we should ban Muslims from getting too close to her... as a precaution. ;)
