“FGM” does stand for “female genital mutilation”.
Going back to the title and article, I find it hard to understand how I could have missed that, but it sure didn’t register with me as I wrote my comments. I’ve heard it referred to as female circumcision so many times I reverted to and responded based on that.
I appreciate you pointing that out, and I am glad to note my error as it relates to this report.
They have addressed what it is accurately, and that is a good thing.
