SHTF can be trigger by a small thing, the power can be on, stores open, cell phone working and something snaps and all hell breaks lose.

If you look closely, the veneer of civilization appears to be remarkably thin.

How many would behave badly if they thought there would be no penalties for bad behavior? Would the ugly side of human nature emerge?

Are there triggers of man’s ‘savage’ nature that could cause a break out of this thin veneer, wicked and barbaric as ever?

How quickly might we transition from civil to barbaric, and what events could cause it?

Is this more or less dying because of the strike?

Also worth noting is how little time passed between the perceived absence of the thin blue line and the outbreaks of lawlessness.

In NYPD Rookie School years ago we were taught this: “If there were just three people in the world one would have to be a cop to keep the other two from killing each other.”

Is it me, or do Latin American countries have a much higher proportion of crinimals than do Western, mostly-White countries?

Perhaps Trump should go ahead, pull his immigration EO and then re-issue it to cover all countries. It would survive judicial scrutiny (non-discriminatory), allow time to put real vetting measure in place, and stop tons of crime-minded Latinos from traveling here.

That’s right, I said it, CRIME-MINDED LATINOS!
