Well...Chavez did have financing and propaganda help from Iran and Cuba.
till required a bunch of stupid gimmedats to get him in but it wasn’t entirely domestic.
I wonder if Soros pitched in too since years ago I remember arguing with liberals about Chavez when he first got in, predicting that food shortages and famine would inevitably follow.

Argentine liberal prez Nestor Kirchner helped out too.... sent briefcases full of cash to the communists in Venezuela.

Kirchner’s the guy whose election was aided by meddling US democrats like Carville, same way the libs meddled in Israel’s election.

Screwed up Argentina’s economy too.

Actually Chavez did not have an financing from Cuba it was quite the other way around Chavez was giving Cuba some 200K barrels of crude oil daily. He did enjoy all of the influence of the subtleties of Cuba’s failed policies.
