Reading the comments on Daily Mail, one would conclude this is the end of the Trump Presidency and he will soon be stepping or taken down. The idiots are cheering their hurrahs. Total nutcases, but this is disconcerting, nonetheless.
I know he was an early supporter of Trump, but I say good riddance. He spent too many years in the swamp that needed to be drained.
Yeh I thought the same thing...more will be revealed. I highly doubt he was susceptible to blackmail...much ado about nothing I think but making admin look bad so he did the honorable thing.
” the Justice department” = Sally Yates
The dishonorable harridan who was relieved of her job for insubordination
Sorry to see General Flynn thrown under the bus
I hope there is a position for him still
He is a rational voice regarding islam and refuses to hype the Cold War against Russia ( his real crimes in the eyes of the progressive inquisition)
Just woke up, not fully caffeinated...does this refer to pedogate???
left him open to blackmail.
First time I've ever heard them use that word...........
That was the first thing I thought about when I first heard that a Secretary of State was using her own personal, unsecured server to conduct state department business........
This is probably all about pence. Had he not caused the problem for pence he might have survived....thus flynn scapegoat tweet.
Mild mannered race bannon aka pence showing you better not mess with him or you will be taken out
And that is true. That is why he had to go. How many times did those in the Obama and Clinton administration’s do such things with no sanctions. Flynn was fired in my opinion.
He lied. Seems to me you do not do that to President Trump.
And the president was gracious during the press conference yesterday, I think he positively acknowledged Flynn. I wonder if that was a subtle hint that his hours were numbered.
Did he? yesterday Townhall had the same resign story, today, another tune. Report: No Expectations Flynn Will Be Fired

Which is correct?
Who knows. All I know is that it really doesn’t make a difference to me now.
Right, it’s NOT nearly as compromising as Valerie Jarrett’s special relationship to Iran
On NBC, Lauer just said that the government routinely wiretaps all calls to ambassadors and they tapped his call and if he was such a great pick, he should have known this. I’m sure we will soon hear clips from the call and that is why he had to go.
They need to clean out every single Obama appointee. I don’t know why they allow anyone from that corrupt admin to stay in power. Every attorney in the DOJ needs to be replaced NOW.
I completely agree.
Don’t you think Yates had a hand in this?
She kept info on Flynn after her firing and would have continued leaking info.
Blackmail would have been possible more from bo’s minions than putin’s.
So yes, of course, Flynn was forced out of office as he should have been but the perception will be that he was only forced out when the president learned that the deception was leaking.
With this public perception, which appears to be the actual fact, it is unjustified to say that the firing somehow enhances the ability of the administration to pursue corrupt Democrats.
They will shout hypocrisy, they will shout relativism, they will shout exactly what you have just said in your reply that they are worse than Republicans. You will be right but they will have the media to make sure that the venal sins of Republicans are made worse than the real mortal sins of Democrats.
This is not a mortal blow, but it is part of an image that the left is trying to create about an administration in disarray and corrupt. It plays into their absurd scenario of the Russians stealing the election. It supports that narrative.
This fiasco can be overcome, but we have to face reality as it actually exists and not dismiss it because it is inconvenient.
You don’t really know anything about Mike Flynn do you? He was a very rare commodity among Military Intelligence officers. He spend most of his time in command at company, battalion and brigade levels and in staff positions at division, corps and at JSOC and SOCOM in combat assignments - NOT in Washington and at the Pentagon. I know Mike Flynn pretty damned well; I was an instructor of his earlier in his career and the nation could’ve used him.
