President Donald Trump hailed the United States' "unbreakable" bond with Israel on Wednesday and promised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Iran would never be permitted to build a nuclear weapon.
Trump's vow was designed to address Israeli concerns over the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers, which Netanyahu has warned expires too soon to permanently remove the threat.
"With this visit the United States, again, reaffirms our unbreakable bond with our cherished ally, Israel," Trump said.
"The security challenges faced by Israel are enormous, including the threat of Iran's nuclear ambitions, which I've talked a lot about," he said.
"One of the worst deals I've ever seen is the Iran deal. My administration has already imposed new sanctions on Iran, and I will do more to prevent Iran from ever developing -- I mean ever -- a nuclear weapon."
The Iran nuclear deal was reached in July, 2015 and went into effect the next year. Under its terms Iran agreed to dismantle part of its nuclear program, surrender enriched fuel and submit to international inspection.
But critics of the agreement, including Netanyahu, have argued then when some of the terms of the deal expire in 10 and 15 years it will leave Tehran on the threshold of building a bomb.

Iran, as it stands now under control of Islamic militants bent on evil jihad, needs to have the bomb like... well put your favorite example of something inappropriate here.
I hope he knows that at this point he is probably going to have to nuke them to keep that promise.
The nukes that Iran could make in the foreseeable future would be more on the order of Hiroshima nukes. Fission bombs. Small and dirty in the overall scheme of things.
They think way too much of their allah over there. His provocations would end up with Iran getting glassed over.
If I were Donald... I would pick some mountain top in Iran far away from civilization and nuke that, saying to them are you SURE you want to keep this up?

i suspect that if he takes out Kim, Iran will lose interest in the bomb.
My money says Obama already gave them the Bomb or is going to Sell it to them

This has gotta tick off Obama.
He probably made promises to Iran.
Israel is a steadfast ally, but should Trump guaranty it is his/ America’s responsibility for dealing with Iranian nuclear development?
I would simply tell Israel - deal with Iran as you see fit - and then supply them all the bunker-busters they want.
That was a stupid promise to make. Seeing as how they already have centrifuges and have been using them for years, they already have more than enough fissionable material to construct the “simple” nuclear weapons that, while having small yields compared to our modern designs, are still capable of annihilating an average modern city.
I think they already have it, and are working on miniaturizing it to medium and long-range delivery systems.
If they do any testing, it will probably be over at the North Koreans. I also suspect that they may decide to keep the delivery system/s very basic, such as a cargo container, pickup truck, or in the case of Israel, utilize one of the many hand dug tunnels.

That's good, a nuclear Iran is a threat to America. If we're not going to allow it, our allies should know.
That statement is far different than the headline. Nothing he said would preclude them buying one say from NK or Pockestan.
