White House Plans to Have Trump Ally Review Intelligence Agencies
NY Times ^

President Trump plans to assign a New York billionaire to lead a broad review of American intelligence agencies, according to administration officials, an effort that members of the intelligence community fear could curtail their independence and reduce the flow of information that contradicts the president’s worldview.

The possible role for Stephen A. Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, has met fierce resistance among intelligence officials already on edge because of the criticism the intelligence community has received from Mr. Trump during the campaign and since he became president. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump blamed leaks from the intelligence community for the departure of Michael T. Flynn, his national security adviser, whose resignation he requested.

There has been no announcement of Mr. Feinberg’s job, which would be based in the White House, but he recently told his company’s shareholders that he is in discussions to join the Trump administration. He is a member of Mr. Trump’s economic advisory council.

Mr. Feinberg, who has close ties to Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, declined to comment on his possible position. The White House, which is still working out the details of the intelligence review, also would not comment.

“...that contradicts the president’s worldview.”

You either accept him because he is the boss or tell HIM, (not the press) why you think he is wrong. You DON’T LEAK! You counsel him as is your duty but you do what he says ‘cause HE IS the boss!

IMHO. These leakers who have compromised national security by leaking classified information to the media need to be found and identified. Then, IMHO, they need to be treated as Benedict Arnold was. If they can’t honor their country and position, then they need not set foot on its soil ever again.

The CIA has been stuffed full of Communists and leftists of all kinds for as long as I can remember. I used to think that the OSS was OK, before the changed the name, but then I realized that FDR was basically a Communist and that they were working for him and his good pal Stalin. Sure, they did a lot to defeat Hitler, but only to hand everything over to Stalin instead.

And the FBI has been pretty bad, too.

I don’t know what on earth Trump can do about all that. He can get rid of the REALLY bad appointments that Obama put in, but this has been building up for decades, one President after another.

This is going to be a very tough job.

Clearly the Intelligence agencies have become a problem. Especially with their link to the New York Times and other media. People should be very worried that they have formed a propaganda arm. It seems they have been influenced by their severance of other countries like Russia and the Chinese.

I can see them saying to themselves. In order to fight the Chinese we must be able to manipulate our population as easily as they do theirs. And so they join with certain media to create a propaganda arm hidden within real media. They create fake news, fake surveys, and real news that somehow is released from the government but nobody knows how. They pick their politicians. They hide underneath the outer skeleton of power. They like their Presidents dumb and malleable. They made a mistake with Trump. And they are trying to correct it.

Clearly the Intelligence agencies have become a problem.

With Flynn I think they were having such a good time that they forgot that they were committing felonies and engaging in acts that carry large civil liabilities under FISA.
