No thanks......not until Bolton develops a hard and documented track record of supporting a sharp right turn to Trump's foreign policy.
And b/c Bolton would be taking his orders from the insufferable Cruz.
It is not about Ted. Bolton would make a good choice because he was able to stand toeto toe with Bush’s Condoleeza Rice. Had it notbeen for him it would have been worse.
I like Bolton, but not for this job. Cruz thinks he has to make some kind of statement about everything.

I'm no expert in that situation by any stretch, but seems to me we should just step aside and let Assad and Putin extinguish ISIS in Syria. We can deal with Assad later down the road if there's some compelling reason to do so.
Actally know. Although he worked for Bush, he battled Condoleeza Rice on many occasions. Graham and McCain would not vote for him..that is a clue.

I don’t necessarily agree with these labels that some throw around. I just know Bolton seem to possess a lot of knowledge and common sense which is refreshing to me. Hopefully Trump will find a spot for him.
And yet, here you are on another Ted Cruz thread for no other reason than to whine and tell us you know Ted’s motives.
Observing this all play out from the day DJT announced his candidacy has been fascinating beyond the most extreme intrigue in a Shakepeare play. I don't think anyone realized how lost our country and indeed most of the world is lost to the Invisible Hand. I'll go out on the crazy-limb here and say it's not impossible that Cruz's father was involved in the assassination, and that CIA involvement explains a lot about how easily Cruz got the education opportunities he did, then easily rose to power.
I'm setting the backstory here for where Cruz might be at now. During the disgusting character assassination of Senator Sessions during the committee hearings for confirmation to AG, Al Franken went way over the top with his verbal sewage. The things Senator Franken said can't be walked back. The silver lining is Franken is an idiot. He also spewed his venom at Cruz. The silver lining? Cruz seems to be on board since that.
Another interesting thing happened. It's racist that those who want to control those with some Spanish DNA as one group "Hispanics". They aren't. Cubans have had an interesting relationship with the US as automatic legal immigrants for decades, until Obama ended that. Well, last week Trump had dinner with the Rubios, then soon after the new nominee for Secretary of Labor is a Cuban-American from Florida. Connect all those dots. It might be that Cruz and Rubio are on board and will be real assets for the Trump agenda.
Ah, the intrigue. This is all speculation, of course. I just can't see any pieces that don't fit. Maybe Bolton's okay. Whatever his connections to the globalist bad guys, he's old enough to remember what the US was like, and how much we've lost while our leaders got bought and paid for by the globalist gods.

John Bolton and Ted Cruz share something in common. They both have a long history of not being able to get along with their work colleagues, including those who share their political convictions.
Bolton would be a disaster for the fledgling Trump administration.
Cruz is acting delusional a-g-a-i-n....... can't accept the fact that he screwed-up his political chances at anything.
Trump bent over backwards to give the Maple Leaf-loving Canadian another chance.
Cruz's insufferable performance at the convention might have gone over better if the NY delegation hadn’t given him a very loud Bronx cheer.
Not endorsing Trump was a total miscalculation----Cruz figured he'd been transformed into another Reagan.
Later, reality sets in.....Mel Adelson refused Cruz entry into his suite.
I like him, but I have often heard him say things that are distinctly neocon positions that represent the globalistic brand of the “conservative elite.”
With that said, I still think he deserves a position because he is very effective and he knows the landscape better than almost anyone. I appreciate his assessments regarding where Trump wants to take us in foreign policy.
I still think his most effective position would be as the right hand for Tillerson navigating the swamp of Foggy Bottom.
I don’t know. Does Bolton understand the threat posed by the globalists and the deep state? Is he a part of it or is he compromised? What is his view on Soros, the Klintoons and 0bama’s 30,000 brown shirts? Does he aknowledge that elements of the pentagon, State were responsible for aiding and abetting Al Queda which morphed into ISIS? Does he believe in any 4th amendment restraints with respect to the intel community and NSA? What is his take on this Trump as a Russian spy crap? Of course we have to be wary of Putin as a competitor, but does he believe that a positive relationship with Putin/Russia is feasible?
Do the usual neoconservatives like Kristol, Kissinger, McLame strongly support him?

Ted is becoming an ally for Trump.
I like Bolton, but he’s too Neo-conish for NSA. I’d like to see him at state in 3 or 4 years once T-Rex has gotten the place under control.
The positions Bolton took supported those of his boss. He was not the boss. We have to be pragmatic enough to cut him some slack because he never made policy - he implemented it as expected from a loyal soldier.
Just pointing out that all of us (myself included) have to take this into consideration when measuring Bolton. He has often departed from his prior reservation as a pundit. He has often mimicked their views.
