I remember him back to the early Hannity & Colmes days.

He never did reach the status of Hannity but at least married right.

Ah, that’s a pity - 66 is far too young for anyone to pass. RIP.

Monica Crowley’s brother-in-law—tough year for the family.

He was among the dumbest liberals ever. I once saw him with Ann Coulter discussing her recently released book. After repetedly spewing the liberal talking points regarding her book, Coulter asked him several times, “Have you read it, Alan?” His response: “Have you?!!” There is no way I can muster any respect for ignorance that colossal.

I remember emailing him once in the early days of Hannity and Colmes, inviting him to join the conservative side. He sent a pleasant and respectful reply indicating that he was comfortable with his political leanings.

Seemed like a genuinely good guy that anyone could find likeable.

RIP Mr. Colmes.

Although we disagreed politically and socially, he was classy and dignified. Prayers for his family and friends who mourn his loss.

Last time I saw him on Fox, he seemed to look more ill/frail than usual.
RIP

Being a conservative, this will sound very odd.

I produced and sang all of the song parodies that Alan used on his shows for several years. From “The Clintstones”, “Haiti is a Trap”, “Jeff Dahmer’s Lunch”, and all of the ones I produced, he was a lot of fun to work with and always very bright. He was a broadcaster first and a liberal second.

Even though I disagreed with 80% of what he said, his shows were always entertaining. I will miss sharing our shared love of political humor and song parodies. So many wondered how I could do those songs from a dyed in the wool liberal, and how a liberal could play something done by a rock-ribbed conservative. But it worked.

Alan was the last voice to be heard on 66 WNBC in New York on the day of “The Big Switcheroo” when half a dozen stations were sold and the entire market snapshot changed.

Rest well, Alan. The great beyond is a bit funnier today.

So shocked to hear of this. He was not that old. Seems many liked him and had good to say of him.

RIP to Alan Colmes and condolences to his family.

Sean is on the phone about Alan Colmes right now, on his show (someone else is hosting) from CPAC.

Good stuff, listen in.

Sorry to hear this. One of the few liberals who could actually hold a conversation. I disagreed with most of what he said (Kelo being a notable exception), but he was one who disagreed honorably and civilly.

RIP, Alan.
