While there are many odd aspects to this story, one of the things that stands out is why Malaysia was the site if this assassination.

Jong-nam lived in Macao, and was just passing through the airport, if I'm not mistaken. Sure looks like a lot of planning in Malaysia for an event that had such a small and random chance of happening.

Kim Jong-nam had a house in Singapore, from which he ventured out to Malaysia from time to time.

Besides, Malaysia is N. Korea's operational hub in S.E. Asia.

A thousand ways to kill a guy, and half of them would have been less messy.

By picking VX, it’s a fairly small group of countries which would have had the material to use. It’ll scare the crap out of Malaysia and ensure that NK citizens are NOT that easily allowed into the country.

My wife is Japanese and watching the NHK news broadcast she told me that he had several homes, one being in Malaysia.

So apparently he was traveling from one to the other.

This story is getting constantly news coverage in Japan.
