RIP, Bill. His sniveling, wanna-be spy in True Lies was fantastic.

In heart surgery the greatest risk for stroke comes from perfusion AKA the bypass machine, where the blood leaves your body to get oxygenated, and then returns. An embolism or a clot can originate there and cause stroke.

I dont know when his surgery was, but he probably never woke up and the family chose to stop life support if the injury was devasting.

I’m guessing bypass surgery.

He was involved in that? (mostly known as one of Bill Mumy’s alter ego creations) That is/was Dr. Demento’s #1 requested video, maybe even the song.

Yes, you can see him walking around and smoking a cigarette in it. Tight skinny pants.

A man goes in for surgery and come out dead. What was he in for?

LIFE?

RIP Mr. Paxton, I enjoyed your work. One of the few hollywood people to have a long and successful marriage, 30 years, prayers for his family.

That’s good. I think (actually, I know) that my wife is a lot more worried than I am. That’s only fair, since I was the worried one when she had surgery several years ago.

Talented, versatile actor. I remember him in "True Lies," as the cheesy would-be seducer of Jamie Lee Curtis, Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie wife. Glib, oily, a caricature. But he could also play the serious role, as in "Apollo 13" and "Tombstone." And he seemed like a likeable guy.

Sorry to see him go. The lights of Hollywood are getting pretty dim these days.

A woman friend I know was so insistent on her husband getting medical screening tests for health. He has a gastric scope and somehow they clipped a blood vessel. After the procedure in the bed he told her he felt extremely dizzy and passed out and then away. What a shame as they were expecting many years of enjoying retirement. Message to self-— avoid the hospital if at all possible.

A hospital is one of the most dangerous places on earth.
