With Media Focused On Attacking Trump, Congress Quietly Passes Bill S211 To Reform Immigration
Conservative Daily Post ^ | February 15, 2017 | Allison Hillman

President Trump has been walking a difficult road since he entered office just under a month ago. Compared to what he is facing while in the White House, his “impossible” election looks simple.

Every action he takes is scrutinized and criticized by liberals, the media, and even some Republicans. They have joined forces to try and make it impossible for President Trump to actually accomplish anything. They have had a fair amount of success and many of Trump’s actions are taking longer than they should to complete.

While the world is focusing on the Commander-in-Chief, waiting to see how they can interfere next, a Republican Congress has been working quietly behind the scenes. Without the normal scrutiny, they have been able to accomplish several major bills that will only serve to aid President Trump in his battles. .....

S.211 – State Refugee Security Act: Introduced by Senator Ted Cruz, this bill allows Governors the ability to reject the settlement of any refugee in that state. This would be the default stance “unless there is adequate assurance that the alien does not present a security risk.”

>>> this bill allows Governors the ability to reject the settlement of any refugee in that state <<<

Will be interesting to hear any reasons / excuses why a Congressman would not allow the governor of his state to have this power.

You mean introducing a bill isn’t passing it into law?

My gosh, fake news is EVERYWHERE

This article stated they introduced the bills, not passed the bills. This is not ‘fake news’. This article has updated us on what lawmakers are working on.

This article stated they introduced the bills, not passed the bills.

I guess the headline is what gave that impression

headline says: “Congress Quietly PASSES Bill S211”

NONE of the bills you listed were PASSED, they were merely INTRODUCED. Tens of thousands of bills are INTRODUCED every year with zero chance that 99.9% of them will ever be PASSED.

SO: TOTALLY FAKE NEWS that S.211 was PASSED!

They “introduce” bills to get the public off their backs.

It means nothing. Fake news is right.

Sorry, just verified that S.211 was not passed and the only action on it yet is listed as:

Read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Action By: Senate

Whether its a conservative or left-wing source, bad reporting is bad reporting.

Well S211 was introduced on 2/24/2017. I am no expert on congressional procedure, but I don't think bills are often voted on within 4 days.

The headline states, "Congress Quietly Passes Bill S211".

That means, unless S211, whatever it is, is on DJT's desk, the article lies.
