I used to live downwind from an ethanol plant in Indiana, very poor air quality depending on the atmospheric conditions.

The eco agenda is closely tied to those that worry about “overpopulation.”

The negative impact on humanity their policies have is deliberate.

Interesting. Some french “scientist” was claiming global warming caused crop failures in Syria leading to ISIs, when in fact it is man made biofuel and belief in globul warming that lead to it.

The author overlooks a problem closer to home: Mexico.

For years, Mexico’s government subsidized the corn grown by the subsistence farmers (small fields of corn grown without tractors), and cheap corn from the US was not allowed to be imported into Mexico.

Then NAFTA allowed US corn to be sold in Mexico at a price cheaper than could be grown by hand. Hundreds of thousands of small time farmers could not compete, and many of them migrated to the US for jobs ... most illegally.

Then globull warming insanity took over, and the democrats mandated ethanol in gasoline. Unintended consequence — price of corn doubled in Mexico, resulting in doubling the price of tortillas. More Mexicans migrated north because they couldn’t afford to eat.

For some reason, I don’t see this discussed in the media...

Here in California the gas stations sell 85% ethanol at below cost to meet some quota. I can’t remember if its a national or state law. Getting rid of these rules or adjusting them would help in so many ways. Only real downside is it would help Iran’s money troubles.
