Barack Obama is getting closer to making his public reappearance in politics, his friend and former Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday.
Holder said hes been talking to the former president about ways including fundraising and interacting with state legislators that could help the new National Democratic Redistricting Committee, which Obama asked Holder to chair last year.
Its coming. Hes coming, Holder said, speaking to reporters at a briefing for the new group. And hes ready to roll.

The way Obama rolls is leading from behind
Trump was already dwarfing him and after last night’s speech Obama faded into the incorporeal.
GWB has kinda disappointed................
LOL great minds think alike and there are a lot of great minds here on FR.
Just because I voted for George Bush, doesn't mean he hoodwinked me. It just means between him and the only other candidate, Bush was the better of the two both in 2000 against Gore and in 2004 against Kerry. Just as we dodged a big bullet in this election when Trump defeated Hillary, so did we when Bush saved us from Gore and Kerry. You think Kerry was bad as Sec. of State? Just think of him for 4 years as the president. And Gore and his climate BS. He'd have picked our wallets dry to line his, all in the name of changing the climate.
So Is Bush perfect? Certainly not. But seeking perfection is a waste of time because no one is perfect. Is he your favorite guy now? Apparently not, but he was at the time we needed him to avoid a democRAT takeover. And in stopping that, he did his job.
But I have never looked at our presidential elections as picking the "perfect" candidate, but the lesser of two evils. It's always been that way. Always. You hold your nose and vote for the guy who is not as bad as the other guy. Do you think I liked voting for that loser McPain-In-The-Ass in 2008? No, because I don't like the guy at all. But he was better than Obama by a mile and I liked Sarah Palin on the ticket. Do I regret voting for McCain/Palin. Certainly not. But he's still a RINO jerk.
But to get angry at these people when they don't turn out to be our perfect ideological knights-in-shining-armor, is a waste of time because you can't do anything about it. Look on the bright side and be glad Jeb didn't get the nomination or Hillary the presidency.
Be thankful we got the guy we need at this moment in history, Donald Trump, just as we needed GW Bush back in the early 2000s. And feel good about it, not angry.
After the shellacking Trump gave him last night, he’ll be peeing in the wind now. Actually Trump de-penised him!
Of course he did. You and millions of others have been getting conned by the globalist/corrupt establishment and their media co-conspirators long before Bush and subsequent to Bush. And this goes for both Democrats and Republicans.
Some of us have been trying to get through for decades, advising people they were being conned and hoodwinked by very corrupt insiders. They've all been riding in the same limo for decades. It took many years for this to sink in, and years of decline for millions to come to the realization they they've been conned, hoodwink, lied to and deceived.
Boy, ya sure got that wrong.
And so where did all the deceptive messaging from the candidates and your profound revelations about how bad the political world stinks, get you? What would your alternative universe have the rest of us know-nothings to do? You think you have it all figured out but then what? Don't vote? Vote for the opposition? Or what?
Talking about it and knowing what you claim to have known for decades, hasn't changed a thing, now has it? That's my point. Unless the system changes, then I vote for who's on the ballot.
Maybe you could elaborate some on how you think I got it wrong?
Why did you attempt to make this all about me? Your very first sentence was disingenuous and inaccurate.
Did ya see the word, "I" or "Me" in my post?
Boy, ya sure got that wrong.
Maybe you could elaborate some on how you think I got it wrong?
Maybe you missed this past historic election. Did the corrupt kingpins of either *party* support Trump during the election? Did both corrupt parties not attempt to intentionally undermine and compromise Trump, month in mouth out?
Holding your nose and voting for a better evil gets ya evil. This is not complex. Thank God the American people didn't get hoodwinked once again and vote for corrupt business as usual evil insiders.
Ya see the corrupt from both parties wanted Americans to vote for the professional career insiders. That didn't happen did it?
But it's simple. You got yourself involved on your own by claiming, Some of us have been trying to get through for decades....". If you are not part of the "us" you refer to, then who are you with? "Us" infers you and others. So it was you that was making it about you.
And you didn't seem to shy away from getting me involved by claiming that, "you and "millions" having been getting conned....", apparently unbeknownst to me and those millions. I said I wasn't hoodwinked by voting for Bush but you seem to think I was, without even knowing me. That starts to stretch your credibility with me.
I'll still vote for the better of the two candidates because that's the way it is. All your rhetoric about knowing this secret sauce about DC and the corrupt system being foisted upon us, is all well and good, but there is nothing I can do about it. So I vote. Otherwise, I'm still trying to figure out what you would have me and these millions to do differently? You're still not clear on that.
Until Trump showed up on our doorstep, we would have Hillary as president. We're lucky the guy came along when he did and defeated her.
I simply said ya got had by professional government con men and their collusive media co-conspirators.
I find it fascinating you can't even admit you've been conned and hoodwinked by those in D.C., like millions of other Americans. I say this with total confidence because it's true.
And once again, this is exactly what the D.C. disciples deceit tried to do again in 2016. But this time it seems Americans started to wise up to this epic globalist/insider con-game. They finally figured out it was those in government, the career insiders from both parties that were the direct cause of nearly *all* of Americas problem.
Some will man up and admit they got had. Some like you, won't.
And why do you persist in thinking that you're the purveyor of what I know or don't know about DC? You never even asked me. And even after stating clearly that I already know what is going on in Washington, you blatantly contradict me and claim I don't know. You act like you didn't even hear me.
You seem to conflate the fact that knowing this insider stuff is exclusive to you and somehow makes you smarter or superior to people like me who are not as upset about the corruption in DC as you are. I haven't spent the last few decades being angry about DC and it's inherent corruption and election scheming because I can't control Washington politicians. Neither can you.
I find it fascinating that you can't even admit that I might know about this corruption in DC. Trust me, you're not the only one who knows about this mess. You're no different than me.
The only thing you've managed to say so far is what I shouldn't have done. Easy for people like you who won't admit to what they did themselves. Own up to it and admit what you did.
Otherwise, you're all talk and no do. Bye.
Gezz, you’re still trying to make this all about me. Amazing.
Good night. :-)
