Maybe so. But every American has had access to health care since the days when Doc Baker was making house calls in “Little House on the Prairie.” Universal access means nothing in any context except where people can get all the medical care they need and make someone else pay for it.

It has worked out in times past, but when politicians decided to encourage massive immigration, and I mean massive, then the standard of living for all of us has plummeted. A million and a half LEGAL immigrants per year and how long do they think the infrastructure will last before it completely buckles. Those many millions need health care and taxpayers will have to pay for it, so Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell think that Americans have to give up their health care so that all will have access — on paper.
